Cheney in 94 on Iraq war.
At this point in Iraq war things are so bad that everywhere you turn you find something to embarrass the Bush administration. This is Cheney talking in 1994 defending Bush Sr's decision not to invade Iraq after liberating Kuwait. One must say that all the points he raised then held true also in 2003, though of course they would say that the risk was worth taking this time. Still, it is fun watching him say this stuff.

Good one...Jon Stewart also heavily referred to it in his interview with Stephen Hayes. In the end, Hayes could only sit in silence as Stewart angrily denounced these bigots for 1. Saying as an excuse that "9/11 changed everything" 2. Belittling the American people as unpatriotic and stupid when they objected.
Thanks. I watched the interview with Stephen Hayes. As Jon Stewart says, whatever the rhetorical flourishes of this administration, they have to take the blame for sounding and acting as if things would be smooth in Iraq. Further, they questioned the patriotism of anyone raising legitimate questions. More and more of this administration's actions are shown to be hypocritical.
